Recommendation

 

THAT Council consider the request from the Cargo Rugby League Football Club.

 

General Manager's REPORT

 

Council has received a request from the Cargo Rugby League Football Club (CRLFC) for financial assistance to complete the awning over the new extensions of the amenities building at Cargo Recreation Ground.

 

The CRLFC received $25,000 in government funding and a further $13,960 from Council for the project to extend the amenities building and include disabled toilets.  The installation of an awning will complete the project. 

 

The CRLFC have received the following quote for the awning:

 

Supply and install steelwork and roof sheeting to

extend existing awning at the Cargo Recreation

Ground Total Area 12m x 6.0m                                                          $7,200.00

                                                                                                                       

 

Please note that guidelines have been issued under Section 23A of the Local Government Act titled “Council decision making during merger proposal periods”. Council must consider the guidelines in relation to each decision they make during the proposal period.  Should the council wish to provide a contribution it could be funded from the Community Facilitation Fund.
