PRESENT         Clr I Gosper (in the Chair), Clrs G Dean, M Nash, A Durkin, G Treavors, K Walker, I Davison and J Culverson and the General Manager.

Also present were Director of Finance & Corporate Services, Acting Director of Engineering & Technical Services, Acting Director of Environmental Services, Administration Officer and Administration Manager.

	ITEM - 1    APPLICATIONS FOR LEAVE OF ABSENCE
	Proceedings in Brief Apologies were tendered on behalf of Clrs MacSmith, Hayes and Wilcox for their absence from the meeting.
	Recommendation (Durkin/Culverson) THAT the apologies tendered by Clrs MacSmith, Hayes and Wilcox be accepted and the necessary leave of absence be granted.

	ITEM - 2    DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
	Proceedings in Brief There were nil declarations of interest.
	Recommendation (Treavors/Durkin) THAT it be noted their were nil declarations of interest.

	ITEM - 3    DECLARATIONS FOR POLITICAL DONATIONS
	Proceedings in Brief There were nil declarations of political donations.
	Recommendation (Walker/Davison) THAT it be noted there were nil political donations.

CONFIDENTIAL ITEMS

	ITEM - 1    CARRYING OF COUNCIL RESOLUTION INTO CLOSED COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING
	Recommendation (Culverson/Nash) THAT the committee now hereby resolve into a closed committee for the purpose of discussing matters of a confidential nature relating to consideration of nominations for Australia Day and associated awards and that the press and the public be excluded from the meeting in accordance with the conditions of Council’s Confidentiality Policy AND FURTHER that as reports to the closed committee are likely to be confidential and their release prejudicial to the public interest and the provisions of Council’s confidentiality policy, that copies of these reports not be made available to the press and public.

*	ITEM - 2    NOMINATIONS FOR CITIZEN OF THE YEAR, YOUNG CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AND COMMUNITY GROUP OF THE YEAR FOR AUSTRALIA DAY 2016
	Recommendation (Culverson/Nash) THAT the additional Australia Day award winners for Cabonne 2016 be as recorded in the Proceedings in Brief.
