Also present were the General Manager, Director of Finance & Corporate Services, Director of Engineering & Technical Services, and Director of Engineering and Technical Services’ Personal Assistant.

ITEM - 1    APPLICATIONS FOR LEAVE OF ABSENCE

 

Proceedings in Brief

An apology was tendered on behalf of Clr Durkin for his absence from the meeting. 

 

MOTION (Wilcox/Davison)

 

THAT the apology tendered by Clr Durkin be accepted and the necessary leave of absence be granted.

ITEM - 2    DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

 

Proceedings in Brief

Clr Gosper declared an interest (identified as a pecuniary interest) in item 4 due to grandchildren using the Family Day Care system.

 

 

ITEM - 3    DECLARATIONS FOR POLITICAL DONATIONS

 

Proceedings in Brief

There were nil Political Donations.

 

It was noted, the time being 02:06pm Clr Gosper declared an interest (identified as a pecuniary interest) in item 4 due to grandchildren using the Family Day Care system and left the Chambers.

 

 

ITEM - 4    FAMILY DAY CARE BUDGET IMPLICATIONS

 

Proceedings in Brief

Council discussed options if funding was unsuccessful.  With one option being to write to Orange and Blayney councils seeking pro-rata contributions towards the funding shortfall for Family Day Care.

 

MOTION (Davison/Wilcox)

 

THAT Council subsidise the Family Day Care service if it is unsuccessful in obtaining operational funding.

 

 

Amendment (MacSmith/Nash)

 

THAT Council write to Orange and Blayney council’s seeking pro-rata contributions towards the funding shortfall for Family Day Care and should this not be agreed to and/or if unsuccessful in obtaining funding, Cabonne Council subsidise the Family Day Care service.

 

 

The AMENDMENT was put and carried, becoming the motion.
