ITEM - 1    APPLICATIONS FOR LEAVE OF ABSENCE

There were nil applications for leave of absence.

ITEM - 4    FIT FOR THE FUTURE (FFF) - PILOT JOINT REGIONAL ORGANISATION

 

Proceedings in Brief

Some concerns were expressed as to the geographic size covered by the Centroc proposal but it was agreed to proceed at this time.

 

MOTION (Davison/MacSmith)

 

THAT Council advise both Centroc and the Office of Local Government of its concurrence, at this time, to be part of a pilot Joint Organisation of Councils as mooted in the “Fit for the Future Joint Organisations: a roadmap for intergovernmental collaboration in NSW” using the existing resources of Centroc and seeking State funding as required but express reservations at the geographic size and scope.

ITEM - 5    FIT FOR THE FUTURE (FFF) - LOCAL GOVERNMENT REFORM PACKAGE

The following resolution resulted from a workshop held by the Council and General Manager prior to the meeting.

 

MOTION (MacSmith/Culverson)

 

THAT for the purpose of responding to the State Government's 'Fit for the Future' (FFF) for local government reform package, the General Manager, the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor and / or other Councillors, as required by the Mayor, are authorised to liaise with external parties about the matters contained within the FFF report, including discussions surrounding options for structural reform.
