ITEM - 1    APPLICATIONS FOR LEAVE OF ABSENCE

An apology was tendered on behalf of Clr Hayes.

THAT the apology tendered on behalf of Clr Hayes be accepted and the necessary leave of absence be granted.

ITEM - 4    CENTROC HEALTH WORKFORCE GROUP

 

Proceedings in Brief

Clr Nash provided the committee with an overview of the CENTROC Health Workforce meeting stating that there is a push for a new medical centre in Canowindra.

Clr Davison called for continued support for the CSU medical school initiative.

THAT Council provide information on local health workforce issues to the CENTROC Health Workforce Group.

THAT Council be advised of results of the Family Links tender once a decision is made.

ITEM - 7    HOME AND COMMUNITY CARE UPDATE

 

Proceedings in Brief

Clr Gosper commended the success of the meals on wheels programme.

Clr Dean commended the social support aspect of the programme.

As a result of a question from Clr Gosper, the Home & Community Care Coordinator provided the committee with an update of funding applications that were submitted for the construction of a freezer room.

THAT the HACC Service follow up the possibility of constructing a freezer room.

ITEM - 8    FAMILY DAY CARE UPDATE

Family Day Coordinator thanked Council for ongoing support.

THAT Cabonne/Blayney Family Day Care continues to provide support and assistance to Educators registered with the Service.

It was noted, the time being 12:22pm, the Community Services Manager declared a perceived conflict of interest in the following item as he is a delegate for the United Services Union and left the room.

 

 

ITEM - 9    WHITE RIBBON DAY

THAT Council donate $100.00 to the USU White Ribbon Day Appeal.

ITEM - 10 ANNUAL COMMUNITY TRANSPORT CONFERENCE

THAT Clr Nash be authorised to attend the Annual Community Transport Conference in Canberra.
