Recommendation

THAT Council prioritise projects for Round 5 of the Regional Development Australia Funding.

MAYORAL MINUTE

Council has received notification that it is eligible to apply for projects under the Regional Development Australia Funding (RDAF) Round 5 by 22 July 2013.  Total funding for eligible projects allocated to Cabonne is $242,148.00.

Guidelines for the funding are similar to those for the Regional Local Community Infrastructure Program (RLCIP) that provided funding for projects such as the Manildra Skate Park and Eugowra Hall and preschool.

Council staff have provided the following list of projects that could be considered:

Age of Fishes Museum Canowindra possible storage area for fossil slabs.

$250,000

Play equipment and bbq facility at Yeoval (this is a project mentioned by the Yeoval school delegates in their presentation to Council).

$91,200

Refurbishment of bus shelter and improving surrounding landscape at Cargo (project mentioned by Canowindra school delegate).

$25,000

Cumnock drain rehabilitation

$30,000

Bush trail at Mullion Creek

$50,000

Disabled access to Molong Community Hall

$50,000

Windmill restoration at Cudal

$15,000

The short notice is regretted however has been unavoidable and council are asked to place the above projects in order of priority for funding with the reminder that once the total of $242,148 is reached, providing the criteria are met, projects remaining below that funding line will not proceed.
