General Manager's REPORT

The Mayor has provided the following report for Council’s consideration.

MAYORAL MINUTE

Following discussions with Councillors and residents of the Canowindra area, I’d like to put forward a proposal that Council transfer its April Committee meetings to Canowindra.

I would propose that there be an inspection of key issues in Canowindra, which would be identified by local Councillors and staff and then we could incorporate this with the Committee meeting day.  The opportunity would also be available for any groups that wish to make a presentation to Council to present on that day.

Subject to Council’s concurrence at the February Meeting, we would make arrangements for a suitable venue (eg former National Auctions Building which now belongs to Council) and catering.

Recommendation

THAT Council transfers the conduct of its April Committee meetings to Canowindra to incorporate a local inspection and presentations by interested Canowindra groups.
